Join us and Threading Change on Thursday August 29th for a community run to raise awareness about the social and environmental impacts of the fast fashion industry. We
encourage consumers to become clothing changemakers, promoting the principles of slow fashion rather than merely consuming fashion. We will provide participants with posters to pin on the back of their shirts to write personal messages related to the fast fashion industry for the community to see (optional).Â
The run will be approximately 5km and start/end at the store. The pace will be mellow and the vibes will be high! We will run down to the waterfront to enjoy some ocean breeze and sunshine and loop back up through the neighbourhood.Â
Post run we will head back to the store where cold beverages from Persephone Brewery, Nonny Beers, and Coastal Culture Water Kefir will be available by donation. All proceeds will go directly to Threading Change. In addition, all participants will be able to shop at 25% off after the run.Â
